Wine Review

The 2012 vintage for the Iron Horse Chardonnay experienced ideal weather conditions, which, resulted in an elegant, polished, exuberant and silky Chardonnay. Dedicated and skillful winemaker, David Munksgard’s aim is to produce exquisite and balanced wine. The process for manipulating the grapes into remarkable wine includes, pressing the whole fruit, which aids in developing the most exquisite juice with vibrant flavors, followed by oak integration, along with a rigorous lees (the sediment of wine in a barrel) stirring process. The finished product showcases crisp wines with unique character and appeal.

This highly acclaimed 2012 Iron Horse Estate Chardonnay, showcases aromas of pineapple, melon, green apple, kiwi, and a hint of fresh baked bread in the distance. The flavors of minerality, lime, and pineapple, spread throughout the palate and offer a nice balanced finish.
