When we first had the chance to taste the Amalaya Malbec Red Blend, at THEGRAPE, to say we were pleasantly surprised would be an understatement given it’s reputation. The Amalaya Malbec Red Blend is largely (re)viewed as a good value wine but our experience, year after year, bottle after bottle, and glass after glass, has been so much more than good; it’s been great! From 2010 to 2013 we’ve had the pleasure of discovering what we believe is a true Diamond in the Rough red wine.

The highly acclaimed, 2011 Sokol Blosser Peach Tree Block Pinot Noir allures with blue fruit characteristics and spice as a young, focused wine. The signature Jory soil terroir with its spicy mineral finish is well represented in this wine. It possesses great depth of pure fruit flavor, strong structure, acid, and a persistent length. This wine, is worthy of lengthy aging, and with proper cellaring can be enjoyed for the next ten to fifteen years.

Shrimp ceviche and wine is a fusion of complex flavors, including seafood, citrus, cilantro, onion and more.
