The Syncline Cellars Subduction Red

Wine Wednesday: Syncline Cellars Subduction Red

This Week In Wine: Syncline Cellars Subduction Red Blend ($22+)

“Always extremely popular, this Southern Rhône-style six-grape blend is especially noteworthy in 2011. It’s a powerful wine that has a broad array of red and purple fruits, plus penetrating focus. This is juicy, forward and immediately delicious, and it also has the structure to age, perhaps surprisingly well.” – Wine Enthusiast

Wine Review

The Syncline Winery is situated in Washington’s beautiful Columbia Valley wine region. Their vision, philosophy and culture for producing fine wines is simple: build a wine growing family, while working with a select group of grower-partners who collaborate and deliver expressive and exemplary grapes; and a desire to serve as productive members of their community with a sense of business social responsibility. The Subduction Red series is more of an exploration of the Columbia Valley wine area, than a representation of any one varietal or vineyard. All of the grapes come from vineyards in Horse Heaven Hills and the Red Mountain wine regions within the Columbia Valley.

No matter the vintage, whether 2011, 2013 or 2014, the highly praised Syncline Cellars Subduction Red Blend showcases black cherry, raspberry, baking spices and black pepper aromas and flavors. The wine offers a bright, fresh finish that is balanced and compatible with an assortment of foods and occasions.

We recommend enjoying the Syncline Cellars Seduction Red blend now or storing it for up to 5 years.
