Wine Review

Kenwood vineyards was birthed in 1970, located in the heart of the Sonoma Valley wine region. It is dedicated to producing premium wines that represent the very core of Sonoma County’s world-class vineyards. The grapes are sourced from dozens sustainably farmed vineyards in Sonoma County’s best appellations, which include: Russian River Valley, Alexander Valley, Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma Valley, and Sonoma Mountain. Each lot is kept separate throughout the winemaking process enabling the winemaker to bring this wine to its fullest potential. The result, consistent quality wines that are all consistently delicious, sip after sip.

The widely appreciated 2014 Kenwood Pinot Noir is an intense wine with fruity aromas of raspberry and plum mixed with spicy notes of nutmeg and vanilla. A savory medium-bodied red wine displaying soft hints of sweetness and smooth tannins that build up to an exceptional finish.

With a silky, delicate texture, good acidity and simple, pleasant pomegranate and cherry flavors, this is a decent Pinot for drinking now. – S.H.
