If you’re a fan of pork then you’ve got to try these delicious Chipotle Pork Cheeseburgers. This recipe will surely make its way onto your favorites list in no time! Take it a step further and pair these cheeseburgers with a fruit forward red wines like, Grenache or Syrah, and the flavors of this recipe’s roasted seasoning will burst with each bite. This is a delicious pairing for any backyard or game day gathering! Now, if you’d be so kind as to pour you and your guests a glass of delight, we’ll make our way towards deliciousness! Here is your Pork Cheeseburger recipe!



  1. 1 Pound ground pork (not lean)
  2. 2 Teaspoons minced chipotle in adobo plus 1-teaspoon adobo sauce
  3. 2 Garlic cloves, forced through a garlic press
  4. 4 Slices Muenster cheese or the chees of your liking
  5. 4 Pretzel bread hamburger buns, toasted
  6. ¼ Cup mayonnaise
  7. 1 Large tomatillo (1/4 pound), husked and rinsed, then sliced
  8. 1 Avocado, sliced
  9. 1 Cup cilantro sprigs
  10. 1 Large Cabbage chopped


Cooking Instructions

  1. First, prepare your gas grill for cooking over medium heat.
  2. Then, gently mix pork, chipotle, garlic, and a scant teaspoon salt until just combined.
  3. Next, form the mixture into 4 (1/2-inch-thick) patties.
  4.  Now, oil your grill and then grill the patties covered for 4 minutes.
  5. Once this time is up, flip your patties and top with a slice of cheese. Cover the grill once more until the patties are just cooked through. This may take another 1 to 2 minutes. While waiting you can toast your pretzel bread buns.
  6. Lastly, add mayo and assemble your burgers with cabbage, tomatillo, avocado, and cilantro. These bad boys are now ready to serve!
